Koorka Manga Curry


Ingredients needed for Koorka pacha manga curry/ Koorka Green mango curry
1 cup cleaned and cut Koorka
1 cup green unripe mango cut in to small pieces
1 small piece ginger
2 grrn chillies slit
few curry leaves
1/2 tsp red chilli powder
1/4 tsp turmeric powder
Salt to taste
2 cups grated coconut
4small onions
1 tsp cumin seeds

For tempering
2 tsps oil
1/2 tsp mustard seeds
a pinch of fenugreek seeds
2 red chillies broken into bits 
few curry leaves

How to prepare Koorka Pacha Manga Curry?
In a vessel add the cleaned and cut Koorka , chopped ginger, slit green chillies, chilli powder, turmeric powder and salt with a little water to cook the koorka soft and tender.
When the koorka gets soft add the chopped mango toit and cook for a minute or two till the mano gets soft.
In the meantime grind coconut, small onions and cumin seeds to a smooth paste.
Add to the boiling gravy and simmer for a minute or two. Do not let the curry boil over.
Heat oil in a fry pan, splutter mustard  and fenugreek seeds. Add broken red chillies and curry leaves. When brown pour over the curry, mix well.
Serve Koorka manga curry with rice and some vegetable side dish with pappadum. yummy .
