Prawns / Chemmeen Moilee

Ingredients needed for Chemmeen Moilee
1 cup deshelled and cleaned prawns
handful curry leaves
3 green chillies or 1/2 tsp ginger
4 garlic flakes chopped fine
1/4 tsp ginger juliennes
4 small onions
1/4 turmeric powder
1/4 tsp lime juice
1 cup thick coconut milk
1 tbsp coconut oil
1/2 tsp mustard seeds

How to prepare Chemmeen Moilee?
Heat oil in a fry pan. If you are using a non stick pan, you can reduce the oil mentioned in the ingredients.
Splutter mustard seeds and saute garlic, ginger, small onions, green chillies and curry leaves till the onions get golden but not brown. If you are adding green chillies, you can leave out chilli powder.
Add turmeric powder and salt to taste. Mix well and add the cleaned prawns.
Now coconut milk and bring it to boil. Cover and simmer for 3-4 minutes for the prawns to get tender.
Remove from fire, add lime juice and garnish with chopped coriander leaves.

Notes
If you like an yellow colour for the gravy add just green chillies, don't add chilli powder.
Don't let the gravy boil after you add lime juice. It might curdle.
